How the CTF Lab Works
Every challenge follows the same loop: read the scenario, work out the answer, then submit the flag you captured.
1. Start a Challenge
Pick a category and open a challenge. Each one comes with a scenario, a difficulty, a point value, and hints if you get stuck.
2. Capture the Flag
Solve the task to uncover a hidden flag — a short string in the form CYS401{...} that proves you worked it out.
3. Submit & Learn
Submit the flag for validation. Correct answers score points and unlock an explanation of what the challenge was teaching.
Challenge Categories
Four Tracks to Work Through
Each track holds its own set of challenges, from beginner to advanced.
Web Security
Injection, broken authentication, and exposed data in a deliberately vulnerable web app.
Cryptography
Classical ciphers, encoding, hashing, and key handling done badly on purpose.
Security Awareness
Phishing emails, weak passwords, and social engineering you have to spot before you get caught.
Cybersecurity Ethics
Scope, consent, responsible disclosure, and where legitimate testing ends.
